First, an Introduction:

Hi! My name is Jackie. This webpage is designed as a tribute to my favorite band in the world, Matchbox Twenty. But (almost) as exciting, it contains selected lyrics from some of Matchbox Twenty's songs that I feel describe other special aspects of my life as well.

So, for all you Matchbox Twenty fans out there, enjoy the pictures of the band and some links to my favorite MB20 websites, and for my family and friends who are only visiting this page because it's the very first webpage I've ever designed (!), enjoy reading about all the stuff you already know about me anyway!

Next, some basic Matchbox Twenty Info:

Lead Singer: Rob Thomas, the greatest performer I have ever been privileged enough to hear sing. He truly loves what he does, and that reflects deeply in his work. Want to see a picture? I thought you'd never ask!

The other guys in the band: Kyle Cook (lead guitar, background vocals), Adam Gaynor (ryhthm guitar, background vocals), Brian Yale (bass), and Paul Doucette (drums, percussion).

The Albums: Yourself or Someone Like You, 1996; Mad Season, 2000; More Than You Think You Are, 2002.

Now, my life, as seen through the lyrics of some of my favorite songs:

"Lay all your troubles down, I am with you now, lay them down on me..."
-These lyrics, from the song Hand Me Down from the band's most recent album, More Than you Think you Are, perfectly describe my feelings about my relationship with my boyfriend, Nathan. Click here to see some pictures of my special guy and me!

"I think I've already lost you; I think you're already gone. I think I'm finally scared now...you think I'm weak- But I think you're wrong."
-These lyrics, from the song If You're Gone from the band's album Mad Season, describe my feelings about the fact that my favorite television show, Friends, is currently in its final season. Click here for my page on the show, with pictures of the cast and links to some fabulous Friends websites.

"I'm not crazy, I'm just a little unwell. I know right now you can't tell, but stay awhile and maybe then you'll see..."
-These lyrics, from the song Unwell from Matchbox Twenty's album More Than you Think you Are, probably describe my feelings about my decision to attend Duquesne University. Maybe I'm a little crazy. Click here to visit my page about my college and get links to some Duquesne websites.

More Great Songs:

Here are some of my favorite Matchbox Twenty songs, in no particular order: Push, Hand Me Down, Argue, Back to Good, Bed of Lies, The Burn, Leave, and Last Beautiful Girl. But trust me: All the songs on the CDs are great.

And Finally...

Make sure to check out Matchbox Twenty, and you're sure to find some awesome favorite songs of your own! All you crazy fans (like me) can email me if you're just dying to gab about the greatness of Matchbox Twenty... Keep your eye out for any upcoming albums or concerts... I know I will!
