- Opportunities for research within the Math/CS Department
- Enroll in Working Group in Computational Math (Math 341/COSC 341), a
seminar course with a focus on research
- Discuss an idea for research with a Math/CS faculty member and, with
their agreement, apply for a College of Liberal Arts mini-grant for
research ($250)
- Find a Math/CS faculty member willing to advise you on a
research-oriented senior project and enroll in COSC 480 (if you are a
senior CS major)
- View research interests of faculty members at the Web site for your
major and contact those whose work interests you
- Some of our faculty members have grant funding and might be
willing to hire you as research assistants
- Other faculty members welcome research assistants on a volunteer
basis
