Tony Giovengo (second from the right) is a quiet, but crazy person who
spends most of his time on a computer, either doing something cool on the
internet or working on computer animations using a program called
"Calagari Truespace". When Tony is NOT on the computer, he can be found
rollerblading in places he's not supposed to be rollerblading in (!!!) or
climbing the highest and hardest rocks in the north-eastern states. This
winter, Tony hopes to dedicate a lot of time to the great sport of
downhill skiing.
Jen Robinson (left) IS a competitive freestyle skiier whose goal is to ski
the Olympics! (Jen WILL be there!) She actually wants to study biomedicine
and pursue a career from there. She loves to rock climb and listen
to the symphony. (hmmmmm fiddler on the Alps!)
Ellen Gardner (right) considers herself an everyday sort of kid who just
can't wait for a busy day to end. After a hard day in school, Ellen
either goes to work or to her dance studio. Dancing has been Ellen's
passion since she was two years old. Hiking, writing, and just hanging
around the house are some things she likes to do with her friends and
even alone! Ellen says her grades are pretty good, but math is not her
strong point. Ellen "sort of" speaks Spanish, so she is hoping someone
from Spain or Mexico will be on an NTP so she can practice what she knows
(or use her Spanish dictionary).
Alan Prather (wearing the cap!) spends much of his time programming and
doing robotics research. When he's not busy typing away, Alan enjoys
going to Crew (rowing) practice and getting his frustrations out on the
water! This coming summer, you'll find him roaming the halls of CMU
(Carnegie Mellon University) and walking the streets of Europe. Alan
plans to visit his place of birth---Aberdeen, Scotland.
