The crossing converter takes as input either a list of vertices in 3-space or an
OOGL Vect file and
produces data that describes the relations between the crossings. The converter will interpret the vertices
as a closed curve, where the last vertex is connected to the first vertex. Multiple component knots (links) are
specified in raw vertex dump format by seperating each component with a newline, in a similar manner to
the way Rob Scharein specifies links in
KnotPlot.
