Class notes: 10/20/97

Today in class we used Microsoft Word 7.0 and did various excercises out of the text book. One of the excercises was dealing with how to insert new words or information. Another one of the excercises dealt with how to move phrases to another part of the work. The last thing covered was how to undo something you already did.
There are two different ways in which to add a new information to your document. First you can use the insert mode where you just move the cursor to where you want the information and just typing it in. The second method is the type over method. In the type over method, the text to the right of the cursor is typed over and replaced by pressing the Insert key.
To move a phrase to a different part of the work is also very simple. You simply just highlight the phrase you want to move, and drag it to the place you want to place it.
To undo something that you already have done you just go to the task bar and click on the undo button. Then simply choose want you want undone and click on it and it will be changed back to the way it originally was.
